Sports Day Finale -Results!
Hello Team,
Kudos to all the four houses who displayed amazing team spirit and sportsmanship on the Sports Day-Grand Finale!! The scorching heat or the muscle cramps or the injuries or the power cut delays did not, even a bit, lessen the enthusiasm amongst the team players!
Griffins was undoubtedly the star team of the day, winning two out of three games and coming second in Cricket! Hat’s off to you guys! Karthik seemed to be the lucky charm for Griffins as they turned their fortunes, went against the tide…. 
For those who missed the D-day, the results are as follows:

Game Highlights:
- The qualifiers started with Abhinav’s storm (33*) which contributed to a whopping score of 82 runs in 6 overs…Highest team score in the first innings! (Team Centaurs)
- Chidananda outplayed Centaurs with a crucial supportive innings (33*) at a much needed time, contributing significantly to the team win in the qualifiers round. (Team Griffins)
- Bhavna‘s sliding and fielding followed by a direct 1m throw 😉 (Team Griffins)
- Catch drop by Aditya…while he attempted the catch, holding a water packet in his mouth 😛 (Team Griffins)
- Avneesh (Team Phoenix) took 2 wickets (and 1 run out) in the challenge over costing Team Dragons a maiden over as they could not achieve the challenge of 12 runs.
- Lakshmikiran‘s and Sandeeps‘s running catch!!
- Woman of the series: Anjali who took the deciding single in the last over of the knockout match and also becoming the only girl player to take a wicket!! She excelled at fielding too…Kudos to her! (Team Dragons)
- Man of the series: Prit, unanimously voted as the classy player of the tournament (Team Dragons)
- Hats off to Anil Sharma and Sandeep who displayed commendable game spirit in spite of the painful cramps and injuries…Winners never quit!
- The spectacular “Shhudhh hindi” commentary by Avneesh and Yogendra! Many would have wished to have a hindi dictionary then….! Aapke shaandaar pradarshan ke liye badhayiyaan!!

- Woman of the series: Sahaja (Sateesh’s spouse) The only female player in the tournament! Kudos to her!
- Commendable performance by Naren (Vaishnavi’s spouse) for Team Griffins
- Team Phoenix ended up being the runner-up after giving an extremely tough competition to Team Griffins. The match had a nail biting finish (Score). Until last five minutes, it was impossible to guess who would win! (Scores-G VS P: 15-11, 13-15, 15-12)

- Bonda’s aka Karthik Reddy‘s (Team Griffins) close win against Lakshmikant Goenka (Team Centaurs)! (15-13)
- Sonu’s (Swati’s spouse, popularly known as ‘Swati’s Sonu’;Team Centaurs) spectacular performance in qualifiers and finals (15-2, 15-4) against Shyam (Team Phoenix) and Aditya (Team Dragons) respectively
- Yet another big win margin of 15-2 by Vamsi (Team Dragons) against Rajan (Team Griffins)
