Hi Team,
After 4 days of intense competition, the Scrabble competition has come to an end!
Congratulations Team Dragons! The Scrabble champions! With a hat-trick win, (D-Kitchen, Chess and now Scrabble) they have proved that they are undoubtedly “The Unbeatables”
All the four houses have displayed a lot of enthusiasm throughout the tournament, Hats off to you guys!! From mugging up wordlists to late night practice sessions, the teams have put in tremendous efforts to give their best performance!
*Team Centaurs -The team who put up a tough competition to all its contenders, emerging as the runner-up by giving Dragons a nail-biting competition till the very last minute!
*Team Griffins – The team that has displayed commendable sportsmanship throughout all their games. They played the game in the right spirit. Kudos!
*Team Phoenix- Best Strategic players – The team that played like supersonic jets; Their players hardly took 5 seconds for playing a word!
The Finals was undoubtedly a nail-biting experience, with Centaurs and Dragons winning a board each. The winner had to be decided by a tie breaker game.
Anil Sharma, the star player from Dragons played a 5 minute blitz game with Praveen Thungana, the star player of Centaurs. Anil Sharma made an amazing score of 65 from just 4 words beating Praveen who scored 36, finally to make Dragons the Scrabble champions!!
His strategic winning move, playing “DOVIL” to score 17 points in the last 5 seconds was mind-blowing!
Once again, Dragons signed off with some style. Kabali daa!!!
